Tubi's app for Android to watch movies and series online for free
When we hear about watching movies and series on our phone with applications other than Netflix or HBO, we imagine webs with links to impossible pages and adverts all over the place that are going to leave our smartphone or tablet full of rubbish.
Movies and series for free... and legal!
However, that's not always true as proven by Tubi TV. It's an Android app for a service that precisely intends to be an alternative to HBO, Netflix, and other on-demand TV streaming services offering us legal series, movies, and documentaries online and for free.
It's an online service provider with over 200 partners, including producers such as Lionsgate, Metro Goldwyn Mayer or Paramount, who help out with the contents. To access the service you only need to sign up as a user through your Facebook account or email to explore the different categories available: horror movies, drama, action, thrillers, and also series and documentaries.
Here you'll find movies that aren't on Netflix or HBO.
Once you download the app, you'll soon see that it comes a long with a very simple app to locate and play any content really easily.
- Browse through hundreds of contents and play the free in a totally legal manner.
- Advanced search engine.
- Play videos at different resolutions.
- Contents sorted by categories: comedy, cartoons, fantasy, classics, indie, martial arts, action, documentaries...
- User area from where you can edit your profile and check everything you want to watch or have already seen.
This is the version for Android but it also comes along with editions for other devices such as iPhone and iPad, a web version for Mac, Windows PC or Linux, and different apps for systems such as Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV, Xbox or PlayStation.
One of its tiny drawbacks is that there aren't any options to play the contents in other languages or be able to add subtitles. We'll manage to survive.

With a degree in History, and later, in Documentation, I have over a decade of experience testing and writing about apps: reviews, guides, articles, news, tricks, and more. They have been countless, especially on Android, an operating system...
